Morgan played a female character in AIDS prevention and educational video Safe Sex for Men and Women. A portion of the profits went to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She's a part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has spearheaded numerous other fund-raising projects for the disease as well as testified in front of a specific Congressional panel on AIDS education. Morgan is member of the Board of Governors of APLA and the Board of Directors of Amfar. C. Everett Koop asked her to at times take his place at AIDS activities. In addition, she hosted a AIDS Awareness Special with news anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell has interviewed her several times on AIDS on Nightline. Morgan is nominated by the Emmys for Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially specifically for Morgan. The spring season saw Morgan co-starring alongside Joan Rivers as Your Money or Your Wife on ABC TV. In the following week, she kicked off her summer season by appearing in Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. It also included Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. The next part of her project brought Morgan to Luxembourg and she was a part of the cast in the role of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady in Harmony Gold's production. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee were also on the set. Morgan also starred exclusively in the thriller on USA Network's psychological suspense, which garnered some of the strongest ratings the network has ever had.
